Advice for the place you garden
Our editorial rule is to check gardening instructions against relevant UK sources and state the conditions that can change the result. A national calendar is a starting point; the weather and the plant still matter.
Sources and adaptations
When adapting material from hozjain.ua, we check the recommendation for UK conditions. We record the original source and link to the advice used for the British version. Photographs, quotations and personal experiences are carried over only when their origin and permission are clear.
Editorial review
Every guide is checked before publication. We verify sources, distinguish published observations from our editorial recommendations and require approval of the finished text.
Our articles should use clear language and useful detail. An invented anecdote does not make an instruction more trustworthy.
Photographs and product claims
A planting plan is labelled as a plan. Before-and-after photographs must show the same documented project. Product recommendations should explain their basis; a tested result requires an actual record of the test.
Updates and corrections
When advice changes, the article should be checked again and corrected. Seasonal guides are reviewed before reuse. Sources and review dates are retained with the editorial record.
